FAQ
Are the included route maps only for major metropolitan areas?
This database includes not only subways and commuter trains, but also all vehicles that run on rail tracks or dedicated tracks across the country, including high-speed trains such as the Shinkansen, intercity trains such as JR, local lines, monorails, trams, and LRT. It also covers cable cars, ropeways, and some bus and BRT routes that complement the rail network.
The country/region I want to see maps for isn’t listed. When will it be available?
Transit maps for countries and regions that are not currently supported may be added to the app as the service area expands in the future. Schedules will be announced on this website as soon as they are decided.
Why do route map layouts differ depending on the country/region?
This is because there are two types of route maps available: the traditional deformed “download format” and the new “tile format” that is faithful to the actual geography, and they are provided in parallel. You can switch between the two methods by tapping the “layer button” on the map screen. Note that in some countries and regions, only one method is supported, in which case you cannot switch.
Will the traditional download method disappear in the future?
For the time being, the service will continue in countries and regions where the “download format” is currently available. You can switch from the “tile format” to the other method if you prefer. However, in countries and regions where the area is newly expanded in the future, only the “tiled format” will be available.
I found typographical errors in the station names or order on the map.
We take great care in our production, but if you notice any errors, we would appreciate it if you could report them to us by tapping “Feedback” from the in-app menu.
